  Minister of National Security 

  Senator the Honourable Gary Griffith

Senator the Honourable Gary Griffith was appointed as Minister of National Security on Friday 6 September 2013.

Since May 2010, he has served as National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister. 

Minister Griffith was a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force for 15 years, where he attained the rank of Captain.

Senator the Honourable Embau Moheni

Mr. Embau Moheni first entered Parliament as a Government Senator at the start of the 10th Republican Parliament and held ministerial portfolios in the Ministry of Arts and Multiculturalism and the Ministry of National Diversity and Social Integration.

Permanent Secretary

Mr. Carl A. Francis

On Tuesday April 22nd, 2014 Mr. Carl A. Francis assumed duty as Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of National Security.

Mr. Carl A. Francis served as the Permanent Secretary, Labour and Small and Micro Enterprise Development from March 23, 2012 before he assumed duty as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of National Security.                                                          

Mr. Francis is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Institute of International Relations,

St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago and has extensive training in diplomacy, negotiations, international trade and foreign policy formulation and execution.
