INTER-AGENCY COLLABORATION TO COMBAT TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS (TiPs)
On Wednesday 27 March, 2024, the Counter Trafficking Unit (CTU) Directorate met with Immigration Enforcement in a meeting aimed at fortifying a joint approach to combatting trafficking in persons.
The meeting’s discussions were centred on forging deeper collaborations between the CTU and Immigration Division, tailoring training sessions for Immigration Officers, empowering Immigration Officers with the requisite skills to proficiently identify and assist Victims of Trafficking (VoTs) and establishing a comprehensive referral mechanism for VoTs.
